Connie J. Brenzing, age 80, of Chicago’s Mt. Greenwood neighborhood. Beloved and cherished wife of almost 58 years to George Brenzing, retired CPD. Connie met her beloved husband at South Chicago Hospital where she worked as a registered nurse. Beloved mother of Robert (Pamela) Brenzing of Wyoming, Michigan, James Brenzing of Chicago, and Judy Brenzing of Chicago. Special grandma to Matthew Brenzing and her fur-grandchild, Scotty. Beloved sister-in-law of the late Elizabeth Casey. All who knew her, loved her. Precious and only child of the late James Shedelbower and Florence Brimberry. Loving Mom to her furry kids, all angels, Skippy, Dusty, Snickers, Beauty, and her special birthday-buddy, Oreo. As you can tell from this notice, Connie loved animals and was loved by so many. The world was a better place because Connie was in it. In lieu of flowers, donations in Connie’s name can be made to PAWS Tinley Park and/or Lightways Hospice of Joliet. Frances M. Leodoro, nee Miritello, age 94, passed away March 27, 2024. Beloved wife of the late Carmello Leodoro, ret CPD; loving mother of Michael, ret CPD, Deborah, ret CPD (Dianne), Carla Jo (Matthew) Sobieski; cherished grandmother of Michael Anthony, Carmello and Gianna Rose; proud great grandmother of Iviana Victoria; dearest sister of the late Rose, Anthony, Florence, Michael, Mary, Phillip and Sam; fond aunt of many nieces and nephews. Frances was born and raised in Chicago until moving to Naples, Florida where she and her husband enjoyed their retirement years. She was an outstanding cook and was known for her delicious homemade sauce and meatballs. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
