He was an accomplished football player and graduated from Marian Central Catholic High School in 1980 and went on to join the Woodstock Rural Fire Department at the age of 19. Over the last few years, he held managerial positions with Casey's in Woodstock and Crystal Lake, where he loved to form friendships with coworkers and frequent customers. As a partial owner of the Packers, he was especially proud of his favorite football team and looked forward to watching those games and preparing pizza and wings. He took several trips to Lambeau Field and had fond memories of attending with both his father and son over the years. His greatest joy in life was his children and he traveled countless miles to witness their athletic, military, and academic accomplishments.
