Retirees,





With your help, we really worked to get in a reply today (which is attached), and thought we had made a strong case for staying the increase and ordering a rollback.


Unfortunately, the court denied the motion moments ago.


Obviously disappointing;


But such stays are rarely granted.


Nonetheless, we fight on.


The City’s brief on the merits of the case will be filed October 22;


we’ll forward you a copy when we receive it.


Our reply will be due November 5.
