Below information received from a retired CPD Detective.

Sandra Ryan, wife of Dave Ryan, retired forensic investigator of the Crime laboratory, has passed away. There will be no wake or services.

Mike Lash, 76, Ret. CPD Investigations, passed away March 8, 2022, with his family at his side. Navy Vietnam veteran, Purple Heart recipient, Commander of Military Order of the Purple Heart, and Past Commander of Combined Veterans Assoc. for 3 years. Beloved husband of Susan Zavorka. Loving father of Mike, (Maribel), Michele, (Ryan), and stepchildren Jerry, (Amy), Heather (Sean), Brent, (Alex), Keith. Dear brother of Don, friend Ed, and Nadine (the late Wayne). Devoted grandfather to Riley, Ellie, Isabella, Blake, Madelyn, Tommy, Tyler, Matthew, Ryan, Jack, Joshua, James, Riley and Grace. He loved babysitting his granddaughter Ellie, was touched when he would get a call every Veteran's Day from Matthew and cherished seeing and rejoicing in all that his grandchildren experienced in life. He was an American patriot that loved and cared deeply for his family and friends, loved to cook, tell funny sarcastic jokes, and ensure everyone was always having the best of times. He was very generous, kind, loyal and will forever be missed by all those that loved him. Internment at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL. Friday, May 6th, 9:30 am.
