Dale Robert Jesionowski, 61, of Chicago, Illinois, passed away on September 26, 2025. Dale was born on January 30, 1964, in Chicago to Marietta (Kolassa) and Robert Jesionowski. A proud lifelong Chicagoan, he dedicated 29 years of service as a Chicago Police Officer (9th District), protecting and serving the community he so deeply loved. Dale is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jennifer(Moscinski), and his brother, Darryl. He is survived by his daughters, Amanda (Kelly) Twomey and Elizabeth Jesionowski; his siblings, Doug Jesionowski, Liane Coyne, and Chris Cisler; and many nieces, nephews, and grandchildren. All will fondly remember his great sense of humor. Dale's passions reflected his love for his city-he was an avid fan of the White Sox, Blackhawks, and Bears. He also enjoyed listening to 80's music while planting his beloved sunflowers. He will be remembered for his great generosity, his service to Chicago, and his enduring spirit.

Ellamae “Ellie” Kenzinger, age 88, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family. She was the cherished daughter of the late Mary and James Grogan, CFD (Chicago Fire Department), and former wife of the late Martin J. Kenzinger. Ellamae was the beloved mother of Diane, late Karen (Danny) Hedderman, late Nancy (Bob) Harmening, late baby Daniel, Michael (Colleen), Sharon (Tim) Buhe, Cyndi, Lance (Jenny), and Kevin (Lindsay). She was the loving grandmother of April, Adam, Jacquelyn, Kaitlyn, Eryn (Jeremy), Amy (Sean), Bobby, Bridget (Tommy), Joseph (Liza), Conor, Patrick (Lauren), Declan, Caroline, Brett (Genesis), Luke, Jake, Abigail, Matthew, Kayli, Lance Jr., Maddie, Kevin Jr., and Quinn. She was also the proud great-grandmother of Makayla, Logan, Wyatt, Noah, Eliana, Lola, and the late baby Emersyn. Ellamae was deeply devoted to her faith, which guided her throughout her life. She found strength, comfort, and joy in prayer and in her connection to the Church. She attended St. Gabriel’s Grammar School, Mercy High School, and Immaculate Conception Boarding School in Davenport, Iowa. Besides raising her eight children, Ellamae was a proud retiree of Little Company of Mary Hospital where she gave 28 years of service. Ellamae formed many lifelong friendships there and was admired for her dedication. Ellamae was an avid reader who cherished time with her children and family gatherings. She treasured moments spent with her childhood foster sisters, Patty and Helene, and lifelong friends Margie and Jacquelyn. During her final year, as her health declined, Ellamae’s faith and spirit were renewed in the caring community at The Point of Kilpatrick. She delighted in daily activities, especially art classes and live music. She was known for her quick wit, humor, and lively presence. Ellamae and her family are forever grateful for the compassionate care and companionship she received, especially from her care visitor Jamie, dear friends Kandi and Jackie, and the staff who lovingly described her as “one of the kindest and sweetest residents they ever had.” Family and friends are invited to celebrate Ellamae's life at St. Cajetan Church, 2445 W. 112th St, Chicago, IL 60655 on Saturday, October 11, 2025. August Zymantas passed away on September 28, 2025. He was 77 years old. Augie was born in Germany to a Lithuanian family and immigrated to the United States at the age of four. His family settled in Bridgeport, just a stone’s throw from Comiskey Park-perhaps the very place where his lifelong love for the Chicago White Sox began. He was raised and educated at Angel Guardian Orphanage, where he developed both his athletic talents and a strong aptitude for math. A gifted athlete, Augie went on to coach baseball and umpire softball, sharing his love of sports with others. He was also an exceptional bowler, achieving the rare feat of two perfect 300 games. Augie had a passion for golf and enjoyed the occasional cigar, savoring life's simple pleasures. A true Chicago sports fan, Augie had an unwavering loyalty to the White Sox and the Bears. For many years, he organized legendary tailgate parties that brought together family and friends in celebration. He was a familiar face at every holiday gathering and took special pride in being the best Santa Claus, delighting children and adults alike with his joyful spirit. He rarely missed a chance to support his nieces and nephews at their sports competitions. Augie had a deep love for animals, especially his beloved kitties. But above all, he was known for his kindness, generosity, and enduring faithfulness. He was a devoted partner to Nancy, especially during her illness, and a loving father to his sons, Tim and Mark, and their families. Augie lived a life marked by quiet strength, boundless generosity, and a heart full of love. He gave without expecting anything in return and leaves behind a legacy of faith, loyalty, and joy. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him. Augie was the loving partner of Kate Timmers and loving husband of the late Nancy Zymantas-Maquiness; cherished father of Tim (Jen) Zymantas, Mark Zymantas, C.P.D., and step-father to Jessica (Dan) DeGrenier and Danielle (Rachel) Martorano; devoted grandfather of Haley and Zachary Zymantas; cherished brother of Nijole (the late Rich) Pabst, Rich (Arlene) Zymantas, Raymond (Laurie Lyon) Zymantas, Chris (Cindy) Zymantas, and the late Regina Zymantas; caring daddy of Pokey and Skittles. Augie was also a cousin, uncle, and dear friend to many. Visitation Sunday, October 12, 2025, from 3 to 8 p.m. at Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 6150 N. Cicero Ave., Chicago. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, October 13, at St. Casimir Cemetery, 4401 W. 111th St., Chicago, all are welcome.
