Antoinette Tomasek.jpg
Antoinette M. Tomasek (nee Basile), a cherished soul whose warmth and kindness touched the lives of many, passed away on November 28, 2025, at the age of 87. Born on June 23, 1938, Antoinette lived a life enveloped in love and dedication, both to her beloved family and to her esteemed career as a librarian. Her passion for books not only shaped her professional life but also reflected her nurturing spirit -fostering a love of learning and exploration in others. Antoinette was the beloved wife of Frederick C. Tomasek Sr. (Retired CPD), with whom she shared a remarkable love story that began in their teenage years and grew stronger for more than 70 years. Together, they built a family foundation tat thrived on love, laughter, and cherished traditions. As a loving mother, she raised her children - Lynn E. Kuvakos, Frederick C. Tomasek Jr., Joseph L. (Lori) Tomasek, and Michael F. (Stacy) Tomasek - with unwavering support, instilling in them the values of kindness, resilience, and a deep appreciation for the world around them. Her remarkable generosity extended to her role as a caring grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and great-aunt where she delighted in nurturing the next generation. Antoinette's home was a sanctuary of warmth, filled with the aroma of delicious meals and the simple joys of family gatherings. She adored making food for her loved ones, and her kitchen was a testament to her love language, where every dish was prepared with thoughtfulness and care. In addition to her love for family and food, Antoinette had a vibrant interest in flowers; their beauty mirrored her own spirit - vivid, nurturing, and full of life. Her love for housekeeping also showcased her attention to detail and her desire to create a comforting space for everyone who entered her home. Through her hobbies and interests, Antoinette cultivated an environment that invited connection and joy. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Carmella Basile, and her brother, Joseph Basile Jr., who were undoubtedly met by her loving heart in eternal rest. Antoinette’s legacy, however, will live on through the vibrant tapestry of family and friends that she leaves behind. Antoinette M. Tomasek will be profoundly missed, but her spirit remains alive in the hearts of those who loved her. As we remember her, we celebrate a life well-lived, devoted to family, books, and the beautiful moments shared with loved ones. Her love will continue to inspire and guide us each day.
