Patrick Henry Danaher, age 82, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 25, 2025. Retired Chicago Police Officer, Army Veteran, devoted member/volunteer with Southwest Sertoma, and die-hard Chicago White Sox and Notre Dame football fan. Beloved Husband of Dianne, nee Quinn, for 56 years; Devoted Father of Colleen (Derek) Doyle, Patrick (Sandy) Danaher; the best Grandpa to Maura and Jake Doyle, Cole, Sydney and Quinn Danaher; Loving Son of the late Mildred and late Clement; Son-in-Law to the late Martin and Ruth Quinn; Brother of the late Edward Danaher; Beloved Brother-in-Law to Mary Ellen (Russ) Grobe, Margie (the late Mike) Siefert, Marty (Kathryn) Quinn, the late Patty Quinn, the late Marge (the late Edward) Danaher. Dear Uncle to many Nieces and Nephews; Loved by many relatives and friends. Member of Illinois Police Association (I.P.A.), Fraternal Order of Police (F.O.P.), and beloved St. Denis and St. Linus parishes. Pat was so proud to be a Chicago Police Officer and loved sharing his time in the F.O.P. with his Father-in-Law “Mart”. He cherished being a graduate of St. Ignatius HS and Loyola University. His closest friends called him “Squire” and he had a smile followed by some Irish wit for everyone he met. Visitation Saturday December 6, 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., at Rosary Hill Home followed by 10:30 a.m. Mass in their chapel, 9000 W. 81st St., Justice, IL. A short interment service will follow at Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery, 6001 W. 111th St., Alsip, IL, 60803. PARKING NOTICE!

As a reminder, the winter parking enforcement and towing ordinance which prohibits parking on designated streets between 0300-0700 hours is in effect 01-DEC-25 through 31-Mar 26. A separate snow related parking ban exists for another 500 miles of main streets and can be activated after there are at least two inches of snow on the street, no matter the time of day or the calendar date. The two-inch snow ban is put into effect by OEMC/Streets & Sanitation. Members should be aware of the difference between the restrictions when taking enforcement action.
