Thomas M. Brown (Ret. CTA), 77, beloved husband of 56 years to Margaret (nee Murphy), devoted father of Thomas, Jr. (Colleen Renehan), Michael, William (Meghan), and Carrie (Torrey Lewis), proud grandfather of Heather (Michael Gagen), Caitlynn, Maggie, Ayla, Aiden, Maeve, Declan, Finnegan, cherished great grandfather of Abel and Violet, fond uncle to many, including Kimberly (Mike Hernandez) and Christine (Adrian Jaramillo), favorite nephew to “the sisters,” and best cousin and friend to many. Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, George and Alice (née O'Brien), and his brother George. He is survived by his loving sister Barbara (Edward Swiderski, Ret. Sgt. CPD). Tom, a proud lifelong resident of Canaryville, had a long and dedicated career with the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA), where he made countless lifelong friends who became like family to him, and he cherished the camaraderie and bonds he formed there. Known for his passion for antique cars, Tom also loved making his annual trips to the Kentucky Derby which he attended for more than 25 consecutive years. His real joy was his many vacations with his beloved wife, Margaret. These trips were filled with family, laughter and unforgettable moments, including the two of them impersonating various celebrities and entertaining those around them. Tom’s family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to their next-door neighbors for their years of friendship, kindness, and unwavering support. Visitation will be held at McInerney Central Chapel,4635 S. Wallace St, Chicago, IL 60609 on Friday, June 13, 2025, from 3 – 8 p.m. Funeral service at 10:00 a.m. at McInerney Central Chapel with internment to follow at Good Shepherd Cemetery, 16201 104th Ave, Orland Park, Il 60467. Andrew “Andy” J. Napolitano, age 56, veteran of the United States Marine Corps FAST Company and retired C.P.D., passed away peacefully surrounded by family on June 7, 2025. Andrew was the best friend and husband of Tracy McIntyre; dear son of the late Anthony Retired CPD (MaryAnn) Napolitano; and Sara (Glen) Luecke; loving brother of Anissa "Nina" (the late Richard) Cavins, Ada (David) Garcia, Anthony (Jamie) Napolitano, Michele (John) Ress and Jackie Balduf; cherished uncle of Cheryl Cavins, Sofia, Fiona and Anthony Ryan Napolitano, Gabriella Garcia, Annette and MaryAnn Ress, Noah and Ethan Balduf and the late Johnny Cavins.
