Ralph Kenneth DiFiore Sr., age 79, of Oak Lawn, IL, passed away peacefully on June 10, 2025. A proud and dedicated retired Chicago Police Officer, Ralph devoted his life to service, protection, and integrity. His strength, kindness, and unwavering commitment to his community and family will always be remembered. Ralph is survived by his beloved wife, Antonietta “Toni” DiFiore. He's a loving father to Pamela DiFiore-Majewski and Amanda (David) Godin; cherished grandfather to Christopher and Abigail Majewski and Lea Godin; a loving great-grandfather to Murphy and Reid Simonic-Majewski. Ralph’s legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. A visitation and funeral service will be held on Monday, June 16, 2025 family and friends will gather from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 12:00 p.m. at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 4727 W. 103rd St., Oak Lawn. Interment Private.

Stanley Richard Born on April 21, 1943, Richard proudly served his country in the United States Marines during the Vietnam war. After the Marines he became a Chicago police officer for 36 years. MOURNING BAND!

With deepest respect and in honor of Police Officer Krystal Rivera #19020, Mourning Bands will be worn effective immediately through and including 09 July 2025. The band will be worn horizontally across the star but will not obstruct the reading of the prescribed star number.

OFFICER WELLNESS!

Spiritual Wellness is a vital part of Officer Wellness. The Chicago Chapter of the Fellowship of Christian Peace Officers (FCPO) holds its regular monthly meetings on the 2nd Saturday of each month at the Chicago Police Academy located at 1300 W. Jackson Blvd. This month’s fellowship meeting will be held on 14 JUNE 2025 from 0800-1000 hours. All active duty and retired members are welcome to attend. The FCPO is a nationwide ministry for law enforcement officers, by law enforcement officers. Federal, state, and local law enforcement officers both active duty and retired. Officer Wellness information and meeting dates can be obtained on the Cordico Wellness Application.

UNIFORM REQUIREMENT!

Effective on Wednesday, 11 June 2025 (2nd Watch), ALL sworn Chicago Police Department members, except those specifically exempted by the Medical Section, will work in their prescribed field uniform. This order will remain in effect until further notice. Sworn members must have their soft body armor, crown hat, baton, traffic safety vest, helmet and, if issued, a respirator mask (gas mask) readily available. Refer to the Department Directive titled “Prescribed Uniform and Equipment Items” (U04-01-01) for additional information.
