Patricia “Pat” DeAngeles, 80, of Garfield Ridge, passed away peacefully on August 11, 2025. She was born on February 17, 1945, and spent her life devoted to her family and those she loved most. Patricia was the beloved wife of the late Philip DeAngeles, a dedicated Chicago Police Officer, who passed away in December 1997 after a courageous battle with cancer. Together, they built a loving and supportive home filled with strength, resilience, and care for one another. She was the proud mother of her daughter, Amy DeAngeles, and the late Philip DeAngeles Jr., and a devoted grandmother. Patricia shared a uniquely special bond with her granddaughter, Alysia, raising her as if she were her own daughter, and she also cherished her grandson, Jason Sanchez Jr. Her love and guidance shaped their lives in countless ways. Patricia will be remembered for her kindness, her quiet strength, and her unwavering devotion to family. Her presence will be deeply missed, and her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. A small service will be held at the mausoleum at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery & Mausoleums, 7201 Archer Road, Justice, IL 60458, where she will be laid to rest for those who would like to attend. AND…From Mike Alvarado, retired CPD Asking For Prayers
“I found out the other day from my team of doctors that I can't do Y90 radiation anymore when a new tumor pops up in my liver because of the massive infections it causes. They are contemplating immunotherapy or some kind of chemotherapy. I hope that I don't have to do anything. But when I I was in the hospital in April I had a tube inserted through the side of my chest into my liver to drain the infection into a bag I have tied around my leg. It has been there for 4 months. The other day I had to go to surgery so they could take it out and insert a bigger tube so maybe it will drain quicker. But before they replaced it and afterwards, I have been seeing blood in my drain bag. I notified my doctors and I’m trying to wait until Monday to see what they have to do. But if it gets worse and I start having symptoms like dizziness, or stomach pain to go to the E.R. Please pray that this new blood issue isn't a sign of something worse. Thank you for your prayers and support. And thank you John Wotring for being a good friend and for your support.”
