August 25th., Monday, Annual Golf Outing, White Pines 500 W Jefferson, Bensenville 0800 hrs. Golfers and charitable individuals who don't mind walking on a golf course, please come out to enjoy a day on the greens with fellow Patriots while raising money for a great cause. Cost is $175/golfer which includes cart, lunch, 5 beer tickets, dinner, 2 hours open bar, and a gift. We have sponsorships for $150/$500/$1000/$2000. Rick Caballero will be putting together another great event this year. Sponsors and golfers wanted. Bring Tiger Woods with you, or with our crowd, more like John Daly.

September 6th., Saturday, VFW 2978 Pig Roast and Bar Sports Event (Zogg Fest) VFW 3009 N Kedzie Chicago, door open at noon. We'll be supporting VFW 2978 for our September meeting. We'll be playing Texas Hold ‘em, Pool and Darts. $20/each event. Join as many or as little as you like. Or just stop by for some food and beverages. Cards will start at 1400 hours.

The Chicago Police Department Recruitment and Retention Unit, in collaboration with the Chicago Fire Department, and the City of Chicago Office of Emergency Management, proudly announce the Public Safety Community Fair on Saturday, 27 September 2025, from 1100 to 1500 hours at Public Safety Headquarters, located at 3510 South Michigan Avenue. This free, family-friendly event offers a unique opportunity to meet professionals from a variety of public safety sectors. Attendees can enjoy live demonstrations, connect with on-site job recruiters and mentors, and participate in engaging activities for all ages. All community members and their families are welcome. The event will be held outdoors in the Public Safety Headquarters parking lot. Please note: There will be no parking allowed in the Public Safety Headquarters (PSHQ) parking lot from 0600 to 1800 hours on the day of the event. During this time, Department personnel assigned to or visiting PSHQ are authorized to park in the IIT-owned parking lots D4 and D5 (also known as the De La Salle Institute parking lots), located at 3434 South Michigan Avenue. After 1800 hours, Department personnel are no longer authorized to park in the IIT lots. Any vehicles remaining after this time may be subject to ticketing and/ or towing. If there are any questions please feel free to contact the unit at 312-746-7799 or stop by 1300 West Jackson Blvd to speak directly with a member of the unit.
