Position might be for full time or part time substitute teachers, also in need of a long term substitute for later in the school year in the Chicago area. Certified substitute teachers will provide reading, and mathematics instruction. We also have programs that work with special education students. All programs work in small groups of students in non-public schools. Instruction will be delivered during regular school day hours.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Deliver small group instruction to struggling students in reading and mathematics on an as needed basis.
• Administer pre-and-post assessments to students on as needed basis
• Create and maintain student files and other administrative duties as needed
• Escort students from their classroom to the Learn It program; provide a safe and positive learning environment for all students
• Communicate with school personnel, Learn It manager and teachers to deliver a high quality program
SKILLS AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Active and valid teaching certificate
• Bachelor's degree minimum
• Teaching experience with elementary, middle, and/or high school students
• Computer proficiency preferred
• Ability to provide a high level of customer service to principals, classroom teachers, and parents
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
