Robert Victor Thomsen Ret. CPD, age 56 passed away suddenly on Sunday September 28th. Bob is survived by his loving and cherished wife Jennifer and his most beloved and adored children; Ryan CFD, Bobby, Allison, Jake, Lindsey and his best pal Dansby. His father William Ret. CFD, late mother Frances. Brother Jim, late brother Bill, father in-law Patrick (late Patricia). Bob was a Juvenile Diabetic diagnosed at the age of 4 yrs. It was a battle he fought fiercely every single day. Although the challenges were many, he dealt with it bravely and with grace. He was a distinguished Chicago Police Officer having served 26 honorable years. He was well respected because he policed the right way. Bob loved his Cubs! One of his happiest moments he shared with his family was the night the Cubs won the World Series. Above all Bob was a devoted husband and father. His greatest joy in life was being with his family. He made every moment fun, and memorable bringing only love and laughter to our lives. Bob will be deeply missed by his family and friends. He was genuinely the kindest, most generous person to everyone. He loved talking to people - he was a friend to all. “Go Cubs lv u” Visitation Friday 3-9 p.m. Funeral Saturday 10:45 a.m. from the Robert J.
