Bernadette E. Moran (nee Long), of Chicago, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, October 2nd. Beloved wife of Thomas F. Moran Sr.(retired Chicago Fire Department) loving mother of Thomas Jr. (Kelly), Maureen (Brendan -CFD) Hehir, Mary Kate (Eddie -CFD) McNaughton, Peggy (Chris -CFD) Sorenson. Cherished and loving Nana of Grace, Fiona, and Margaret Moran, Sinead, James, and Emmet Hehir, Sean, Charlie, and Norine McNaughton, Claire, and Danny Sorenson. Bernadette was the loving daughter of the late Robert “Dick” and Kathleen (nee Ronan) Long. Sister of the late John Long, late Miriam Long, Lorraine (Diana) Long, and Margaret Hoffman. Caring aunt to many nieces and nephews. Kind friend to many. Native of Dublin, Ireland. Visitation Monday, October 6th from 3 - 8PM at Olson Burke Sullivan Funeral and Cremation Center, 6467 N Northwest Hwy., Chicago. Mass of the Resurrection Tuesday, October 7th beginning 10:30AM at St. Juliana Catholic Church, 7201 N Oketo Ave. in Chicago. Following Mass, procession to Maryhill Catholic Cemetery and Mausoleum, 8600 N Milwaukee Ave. in Niles. In lieu of flowers, donations to Misericordia, Disabled Veterans of America, or Wounded Warrior Project would be appreciated.
