Vinko Djonlich, age 79, born in Voštane, Croatia immigrated to Chicago in 1970. Beloved husband of his late wife, Mary Djonlich for 49 years. Loving father of Joseph CPD (Michelle), Kathy (Craig Duglin), and Chris (Liz). Cherished Dida of Joey, Ryan, and Emma; Haydn, Ella, and Charlie; Michael and Grace. Dear brother of Milica, Mara, Marija, Jozo, Ivan, Misko, and Iva. Uncle and cousin to many, and friend to all. He spent 28 years serving in warehouse management at the Chicago Transit Authority. After retiring, he and his wife built a commercial cleaning business that reflected the same pride and persistence that guided every part of his life.He loved his family deeply and found joy in simple things—tending to his garden, spending time with his Croatian community and strengthening his faith at the Croatian church. We take comfort knowing he is now at peace, joined again with his beloved Mary and all those he loved who have gone before him. Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 13, 2025, from 4-8pm at Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 6150 N Cicero Ave, Chicago, IL 60646. St Jude Service at 7pm. Final viewing Friday, November 14, 2025 9-10:30am at the funeral home. Mass will be held at 11am at Blessed Aloysius Stepinac Croatian Catholic Mission, 6346 N Ridge Ave, Chicago, IL 60660. Eleanor “Corky” Macias, nee Razo, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend of many, passed away on November 7th, 2025 at the age of 80. Born and raised in Pilsen, Corky touched the lives of many throughout her years. Her career in law enforcement began with the Chicago Police Department as Lock-up keeper. Continuing her evolution through law enforcement, where she served as a Police Officer with CMS Police for the State of IL and ultimately ending her career as a Sr. Investigator with the State of IL Fugitive Apprehension Unit. Cherished Mother of Rossanne (Jason) Wankovsky & Reina (Flavio) Fernandez. Loving Grandmother of Angelica Cruz, Rose Michelle Nava, Alejandro Fernandez & Aliya Fernandez. Loving Great Grandmother of Gabriel Vega, Isaac Vega, Lilyana Kozenko, Luis Nava Jr. & Lyxander Nava. Loving Sister of the late Adele (Richard) Reyes, late Jay (Maritza) Castro, Late Audrey Connelly (Razo), Suzanne (Richard) Cervantez & Raymond (Yvonne) Razo. Preceded in Death by her parents Simona “Susie” Castro & Paul Razo. And she was a Beloved Auntie to many Nieces & Nephews. Visitation is Friday, November 14, 2025, from 4 PM to 8PM at Foran Funeral Home, 7300 W. Archer Ave. (55th street just west of Harlem). Visitation at the funeral home on Saturday, from 8:30 AM until time of Prayers at 9:15 AM. We will go in procession from the funeral home to Two Holy Martyrs Parish, St. Rene Goupil Church for a 10 AM Mass. Corky will be laid to rest at St. Mary Cemetery.
