London Police Officer needs help

Hi, my name is Garry SCHEMBRI, I am a police officer in the Diplomatic Protection Dept. in the Metropolitan Police in London. Next year is my 30th year of service and in December 2017 I will retire so a group of colleagues and I are going to do route 66 as a bucket list trip. There are 6 of us in total all of whom are either retired or serving police officers, 3 of the guys have also served in the British Army 2 Sappers and a Para.


The purpose of this message is to get some advice from local officers serving or retired, recommendations on places to hire bikes, which hotels to use the best route to take etc. Is there any officer or local police association that you could recommend to assist me.
