SPECIAL EVENT!
The Special Activities Section is once again coordinating efforts for the Police Department’s involvement in “Chicago Gives”. This year, we are requesting that each District participate by giving at least 5 unwrapped gifts (no stuffed animal, guns, knives, or liquids e.g. bubbles please) for children ages infant to 14 years of age. Additionally, we are requesting that units participate by donating a minimum of one unwrapped gift. ALL BUREAUS, UNITS AND DISTRICT ARE ENCOURAGED TO PARTICIPATE. These unwrapped gifts should be brought to the Special Activities Section (4th floor Southwest Headquarters) by 1500 hours on 02 December 2025. On Friday, 05 December 2025, Gold Star Family Members will be participating in the annual Tree Lighting Ceremony, and they will be wrapping all the donated gifts. We thank you in advance for helping to create holiday magic for children in domestic violence shelters. We are hoping to surpass the generosity expressed last year when we delivered over 1,000 gifts to shelters. The Superintendent will light the tree at noon in the Multi-Purpose room of the Public Safety Headquarters along the Gold Badge Families. Districts and Unit reps should contact 5-5823 or 0207 on the Pax with any questions about drop-off.
OFFICER WELLNESS!

The FCPO is a nationwide ministry for law enforcement officers, by law enforcement officers. Federal, state, and local law enforcement officers both active duty and retired.
