OFFICER NEEDS HELP

My name is Anthony Lopez I am a current officer for the city of Valparaiso, IN. My step grandpa was an officer for the city of Chicago. I recently found some of his badges, and it got me interested to see if I could learn more about his time with the city of Chicago. If you could let me know of anywhere to look, I would greatly appreciate it. The last I know of he was a detective for the 4th district and his name was Len Ponne.
